REMEMBER MY OWN STRENGTH When I fall back and falter, I tend to forgetThe strengths that I harbor that came and then left The feelings that hit me, inspire and move meThe veil of illusion that descends so I can't seeThese waves of expansion, they come and they passBut growth is never idle, clarity never lastsThen the pain, when it comes, elevates me to my highest goodAnd I can suddenly conquer things I never thought I could I must always surrender, and dance in the rainRecall what I've been through, the wisdom I've gainedWhat temporarily is lost is always regainedWhen the cloak of hopelessness commences to consume meI'll meet myself where labels cross, where lines tend to blurStanding in authenticity, as student and also teacherDarkness always subsides, awareness then remains I must always stand tall, and remember my strength
